PPEC is a non-residential facility available for up to 12 hours a day for children who require skilled nursing intervention. Children age twenty years and younger may be eligible for PPEC services which are covered by Medicaid and many private insurance companies. PPEC services are prescribed by a physician and can be used instead of, or in conjunction with, private duty nursing.
OUR STAFF
Our staff of specially trained and experienced nurses and nursing assistants provide for all aspects of each child’s unique medical needs. Paramedics and EMTs are used during transport and as ancillary staff at the center. Special education teachers provide daily educational activities appropriate for each child’s level of development. Beyond our medical expertise, PediPec’s staff is known for cultivating unusually close and long lasting relationships with our patients and their families. Our staff includes Spanish and Creole speakers.

We offer physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapies. Providing therapy at PediPec not only makes it convenient for your child to receive therapy but also assures that our nurses will work in conjunction with the therapists to maximize your child’s developmental potential.

PediPec allows your child to feel like a child – interacting with other children and participating in fun and stimulating age appropriate activities.
FAMILY SUPPORT
Support for the family is the cornerstone of the PediPec program. Family training is an integral part of each child’s care plan. While giving the child the opportunity to be socially engaged, it gives family members a vital reprieve, allowing them the opportunity to remain employed and economically independent or to continue their education. PPEC offers your family a more dependable, safe, and cost effective daycare alternative to home nursing.
DOOR TO DOOR TRANSPORTATION
Transportation to and from Pedi Pec is provided by Medicaid. In order to ensure the safety of all our children, Pedi Pec provides at least one medical escort on every van.
FULLY COVERED BY FLORIDA MEDICAID
PPEC services and transportation are fully covered by Florida Medicaid. We can also work with private insurance companies to get PPEC services authorized.
